hellohellohello! hope everyone's good :) don't think junyi's turned into a fruit bat he's jus always been one no? haha anyway here're some pictures of york :) which is a really nice place and my housemates who are nice poeple but haiyah we're jus different la so being here has been a pretty crap experience so far but im getting used to it O_o


they're all brits and really loud and funny but because they're all brits and really loud and funny im like damn out of place cuz im this mousy oriental girl bahhh. alcohol here is fantastically cheap though, and they drink a fantastic lot of it. i like my room (but i've only jus packed it up after my printer arrived today so i shall upload photos of that later) and lessons here are quite a change. really must speak up and it's weird to have to start getting into the school frame of mind all over again. just submitted an essay today so eeek shall have to see how that goes because i have no idea what the standard is like. alright am too lazy to cook so i shall go have some instant noodles for dinner (or "tea" if you wanna follow the very confusing method some brits label their meals - breakfast, dinner, tea - so enid blyton!) take care everyone!

ahhhhhhhhhh! my arabic test was RUBBIIIIISH. so terrible i feel so sad. can people come and visit me! and i dont think there are any ipho people here! i want ipho people! ipho people! then i can make everyone eat kebabs which are prac the only edible thing around here other than pizza and fish and chips. okay, sometimes even the chips are crap. if youre in sg youre lucky! argh! how was the steamboat?

i just had a test on wed. and i spelt a word wrong. sigh. oh well, my other classmates said they made silly mistakes too. but the sick irony is that i spelt the "alykum" of "assalamu alykum" wrongly and we say that EVERY SINGLE DAY.

...and my prof is really awesome. and i laugh every single lesson without fail. (often stifled/suppressed giggles) i don't know why. maybe 'cause mistakes in language are much much funnier than mistakes in math. really.

but after all, a bougainvilla, by any other name, will still be as majnoonah.

i'm doing double maj in econs and physics!!! raaahhh!! the maths is so hard... but anyhoo, yes so i was saying, here's evidence that physics and econs are related. see right, if u take the x-axis to represent both level of scrutiny (as in my econs notes as shown in fig 1.1) and distance from center of gravity of a planet, and y-axis to represent cost to society (as in my econs notes as shown in fig1.aiyah same lah) and acceleration due to gravity or Gforce - whichever - and u take the curves of 2 bodies (like 2 commodities or 2 planets or whatever)... then they look the same!!! *gaspeth*

anyway... i'm waaaay behind on my readings (which is quite bad because i take math, where there're, like no readings...ok lah... have lah... but very little) but i miss u all terribly much. and i'm so sad that i won't be there at the sept ipho gathering. u pple seriously party a lot. i really pity the j2 kids. really. andre if you're reading this u better go study!! having pillars like this around is kinda inspiring, especially when i go to this hall to have greek classics tutorial... yesh yesh, i'm doing greek classics 'cause i'm required to do it for my program. basically it's lit. to fulfil the writing requirement. but next sem's books are quite nice too. roman and renaissance lit. may take that. dunno. see how...sigh, i'm gonna get the results of my first prac crit essay today... my roommate's whole class got D for their essays. dunno how mine'll turn out. sigh...
